Bobbie’s Southern Kitchen is more than a restaurant — it’s a family tradition built on generations of Southern hospitality and homestyle cooking. The journey began in 1972 when Bob and Vida Condra purchased the well-known Bob Jones Truck Stop. In 1986, their daughter Bobbie and her husband Santos Padilla continued the legacy, creating a San Antonio favorite known for warm service, hearty meals, and comforting Southern flavors made with care.
After years of serving up breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a side of warm hospitality, Bobbie retired, handing the restaurant down to her son Randy and his wife, Nancy Ferris. The tradition carried on, and today, Greg Ferris and his wife, Ana, continue to welcome San Antonio with the same comfort food and friendly service that made Bobbie’s Cafe a household name.
